Actually I have nothing to say about Halloween, but needed a third noun to make my title rhyme.
I got new shoes and pedals a month ago. The first day trying them out, I fell and hurt my shoulder pretty badly, so the new pedals (frogs) are now in use on the spin bike, and my old reliables are back on my bike.
Couple of questions. It took some adjusting, but I got the spin bike very comfortable, and it feels pretty much like my bike does. It does not cause me pain after riding like it did for the first few weeks, but, my feet cramp after about 10 minutes spinning with the frog pedals and shoes. The shoes are not too small - they are actually a tiny bit loose, so I have room for foot-swelling with longer rides. What I have noticed is that the area that my foot puts pressure on the new pedals is back, possibly almost an inch from where I would normally be comfortable. It is behind (more under the arch than the ball of my foot) where I would be comfortable in a stirrup, and it is behind where I would normally be putting pressure on my regular bike out on the road if I wanted to pick up some speed. It doesn't look like there is much room to move the cleats back, maybe milimeters, but it doesn't look like 1/2" or more is available. Is it? Is this normal? does everybody feel like their pedal is further back with these kind of pedals than with regular pedals? Am I doing something wrong?
That was foot cramps and pedals.... uh.... "Happy Reformation Day, Everybody!" That's all I got for Halloween....

Thanks.
