I thought I'd replied to this last night, but I guess not. I ended up ordering a VO touring triple through a local LBS. The guy that runs the shop and I talked for a while and he suggested the VO as a good triple that would work well with my rear 8 speed. The VO is 48, 36, 28. Plus it's shiny.
