The BB threads are chased but I didn't have the shell faced. I'm concerned that facing the BB shell will lead to rusting since It's a steel frame so I'd like to minimize any exposed metal. I did Frame-Saver it last week and I'm now assembling the bike. Maybe I should just get a Phil and not have to deal with facing the BB shell.
