Would you believe I still have problems pulling the rear wheel? That's with a 700x20C, no less. Don Mainland didn't leave much room on this one.

They both have Ford 400 CIDs (351C block with a taller deck height - the 400 later evolved into the 351M) mated to C6 3-speed auto transmissions. They're emissions-era engines (-5 degree ******** timing chain with a camshaft that looks more like a solid rod), so they make a paltry 159 hp each, with 315 lb/ft torque to make up for it. Early non-emissions 400's (proper camshaft and straight-up timing chain) would spit out around 250hp straight out of the box; this number kept getting cut down through the years as more emissions nonsense was bolted to them.
There's a good article on the 400's evolution here:

Hot Rod Magazine turned a 400 into a 500HP monster:

Thanks, Bob - glad to post them. Would you believe these were the best shots out of 82? I tend to go a bit overboard

Absolutely! After all, I get to see these bikes in person, so there's not much thrill in it for me - seeing new Paramounts; however, is always a thrill.
