IMO:
Despite having a differently shaped top portion that is the defining feature of the ABD-X; the ABD-X still doesn't escape the notoriety of track drops being uncomfortably being ridden on the top. Nonetheless I knew I was looking in the wrong place for comfort in the first place to begin with as far as comfort goes. But what are friends with money for?
Comparing with B123/AA's, the hand position afforded by the ABD-X (I just noticed here from a typo that ABD is a anagram for BAD) only slightly improves your hand position for holding the outer top portion of otherwise round track drops, which is a somewhat negligible position on the track, not worth the premium you pay for for ABD-X when compared to traditional B123's and especially for a pair of B123's used.
