Not a lot of nightlife in Pueblo, but the downtown Springs area is ok. If you don't mind being a little more isolated, look south of Pueblo, around Rye, Colorado City, and Buelah (personally, I would love to live in Beulah). More of a rural feel, but a very beautiful area and much better riding than right around Pueblo (which is really pretty flat). Like someone else said, Pueblo itself is pretty nice compared to some other possibilities. I would take Florence or Penrose over Fountain any day of the week - about equidistant from the Springs and Pueblo and much closer to decent riding. As for the commute from the Springs to Pueblo, it's not a big deal. Depending on where in the Springs you are, it's 30-60 minutes, maybe, which is about the same as my commute, and I live in a suburb of Denver. All depends on what you're used to, I guess.
