In before stupid ****ing political argument.
I would never ride my bike without foot retention even though I run brakes. One time on a big hill, when I first converted to fixed, I got too excited on the downhill, spun myself out and my feet came out of the pedals. Going 30-40 mph with the cranks spinning like crazy and my feet just hanging out the side, I was scared I was going to eat it.
Call me a puss. I won't care.
