Those are what I call "40 gloves." I have worn in the past and currently have some just like them and they are good for temps in the 40's. I also have 50 gloves which are much lighter. And above that temp I wear fingerless (summer) gloves.

If you want a combination for guaranteed warm hands in the 30's and well below go with this. I have been running this combo (or similar combos-I have worn out several pairs) for many years.
