As others have said, "it depends on how bad you want a 520". I was actually looking at a 520 and a LHT-literally side-by-side last week at our LBS. I have a LHT and am very happy with it, but was curious what the "other" bike might have that mine does not. There were a few differences, but not anything I'd call significant. My perception is the 520 has a little better finish. The 520 also looked like it had external bearing BB, which may not be an advantage. I,m a little curious about the weight, but I suspect they are fairly close. I'd suggest that you compare the geometry and dimensions of 54cm LHT and a 54 cm 520. I have a Trek road bike, and think Trek bikes of a given size tend to run a little smaller than some other bikes. My Trek 58 cm is a little smaller than my other three 58cm bikes (Bianchi cyclocross, Cannondale road, and LHT.
