Are there other bike shops in the area that might have it in stock? I am not going to suggest a different bike because I assume you already did your research comparing the 520 against the LHT, Fuji Touring, Windsor Tourist and maybe a few others.
Several months ago, Best Buy had some Ortlieb stuff on half price. Yup, the electronics store carried Ortlieb. I placed an order. They kept giving me a new delivery date, I think I got four different revised delivery dates. Then they finally admitted that they had never ordered any more from the factory and had no intention of doing so and had only been stringing me along for months. I have spent several thousand dollars over the years with them, but I will not set foot in a Best Buy store again.
It is your call on how much bad service you are willing to put up with.
