Interesting. Pretty close to 23 pounds. Perhaps the Garmin figures aren't all that off after all?
I doubt that 55% of your calorie burn comes from fat... unless you're doing really long (2+hr) rides?
I do
not doubt that the calorie estimates provided by my Garmin Edge 705 are
wildly inaccurate. Which model Garmin are you using? The older 205/305/605/705? Or the newer 500/800? I've heard that the newer models may be more accurate, but haven't had a chance to test them. As stated before, the calorie estimates provided by the older models are
not accurate.
