Hi jefmcg,

I've never tried the Marathon + but my experience with the Marathon Racer (Schwalbe) 16", pumped to 85 psi (which I do) is that they are Very Slippery When Wet!

Of course I don't know which end of your bike slipped out first, or if it was a pretty coordinated two wheel (tyre) drift . . . but I would tend to blame the Marathon from my experience. No, it doesn't rain a lot here in Los Angeles, but my Marathon Racers (maybe a harder compound?) were sliding around a lot on one early morning commute in light rain conditions.

Never tried Kojaks or Big Apples.
