Later I listed the on ebay for the value of the bike. The bike only had one bid, but I made sustantial profit over my purchase price. Because the Bike Forum member knew the price that I had bought the bike, he kept trying to renegotiate the price. He asked several times to lower the value of the winning bid. After seeing that I would not budge, he asked for free shipping. I've never had someone try to renegotiate the price after bidding on an agreed upon price. Since then, I rarely list the price in which I purchase a bike.
you do have to be careful sharing what you bought things for. Some people seem to assume that if you got a deal you have to pass it on to them. In fact, I often do this, but if someone assume that they "deserve" it in some way, that would piss me off.

And i would never "renegotiate" and ebay item that I sold unless there was some issue with the item. That's why i use Ebay partly, because I don't want to have to deal with that crap.

This isnt American Pickers. Don't waist my time and yours.
