With the weight of these locks, they have such an inertia that they can shift and knock each other in any container they may be put in. You are likely to get far more serious scuffs, than you describe, the first time you drop your lock. You will get scuffs when trying to maneuver the lock in and out on a crowded rack. These locks are meant to survive such and worse abuse. I would not spend time thinking about these scratches.
