Anyway, first post - cheers!
If you can return it, do so NOW. Get your money back. Either buy the hybrid you want, or look aggressively, and buy a lot better bike USED. Being on a limited budget does not necessarily mean you have to buy a Walmart bike. I have bought a lot of really nice name brand bikes for a lot less than the price o the new Walmart stuff.

The most I have ever paid for a used hybrid is $50 (Giant Cypress, XS frame, in perfect condition, for my wife). I also bought a nice Trek hybrid for $9, and a second Giant hybrid for $9 as well.

Limited funds = think used! The last time I bought a new bike was 1975. I have bought several hundred since then, all used (and all a lot nicer bikes than that one I bought new).... And most cost less than that 1975 new bike, not even factoring inflation. Oh yeah, and that new bike was bought when I was in college. I could have gotten 3 or 4X as good a bike back then if I just would have considered used bikes.
