Yep..it was the color..some people love the flat black look..i see it so much here in Southern Cal it was just not my preference. Like i have said in the past, if i hadn't upgraded, it probably would have bothered me. We all have our preferences right? In a way, i am glad i did not upgrade the shock just yet...im hoping the Suntour shock just needs to be broken in..it isn't as smooth as my buddies 2003 Trek4300 with Rockshox...im amazed how smooth the compression is. I just might upgrade to the Rockshox w/remote instead of the Suntour. We shall see.
