If you can take it back for a refund, do it. Take the money you get back plus the money you were thinking of spending on upgrading the BSO and buy a bike that comes equipped with the gearing you want. A good used bike would be the best bang for the buck. Make sure it is a bike shop quality bike, not a department store bike. Whatever you do, don't put any more money into the Denali.
