Like $90-$100 for a set of SPECIALTY tires? Studded bike tires are not going to be of a whole lot of use in the Bay Area afterward.
Even if they fit, getting them on and off could be a challenge. What do your Minn. friends/relatives say? ...and, do you like riding a bike at 10 degrees and lower???
Maybe take a folding sled, instead?
