Do you mean the "M" stamped SPD cleats ? Those things are pretty useless IMO, since you can accidentally clip out of them very easily, and basically can't pull up very hard w/o clipping out. It's almost like riding with loose straps. Do you realize that with normal cleats you can clip out by either rotating your heel outward or inward ? In fact, I usually do the inward thing when I unclip. Just make sure you do it with the pedal forward, so you don't put your heel into the rear wheel spokes.
I think we're drifting out into another discussion here... I have pulled off my pedals a few times, but I find they generally work well for how I ride. I would probably adjust my spring tension before considering different cleats. (I probably should tighten my pedals a little bit)
Anyway, is "Ciudad de Vacas" Fort Worth? (Cowtown) if so, what gearing do you generally use? I get the impression that the terrain there is pretty similar to Arlington.
