I've been pondering over this... Looking at the Problem Solvers' website I found these and these, which I think could be combined with an SA thumbshifter to make it work. I'm thinking the backstop could go at the top of the downtube, and the pulley could go at the bottom of the downtube. I'm not sure how ugly that might be, though.
