The Motobecane Grand Jubilee is a really nice bicycle and offers above average ride quality, in my opinion. I found one at the Dump this summer just past and that is the bicycle that I take out most of the time these days...


Enjoy your Motobe and do not worry about the Simplex transmission. If it breaks, replace it. If it works, you will find it to be a very nice transmission to use.

Of course, my Motobe is of a different vintage and features a Suntour Cyclone transmission. Now that is a really good set of chain jumpers, again, in my opinion...


Price wise - you did great!
