Seems to me they started around 1982 and finished with the Triathlon and PSN10 with that tubing in 1987 or 1988. Super Vitus tubing is my favorite frame material to ride. My 983 equipped Gitane is respectably light, nimble and a great climber. If I had a 980 Peugeot in my size it would see a lot of miles every year.
