My imaginary build would've cost about $200 more. A full FORCE group ranges from $800-950 on EBAY. You did $735 (albeit the Rival breaks) which was excellent. You saved some good coin on the frame as well.
I was thinking of getting a china frame on EBAY which would cost me $550-600(everything included, even a damn carbon seat which will probably bruise my bum), another $400 for SOUL wheels and another $900 for a full FORCE group. Just about the same, + - $200 including having it built.
I don't know if I should proceed with the build considering I'm dealing with a China frame. They only offer a year warranty and that's my greatest concern. I had a business deal gone bad (not cycling related) with some Chinese seller before and it was a nightmare dealing with them.
btw, how much did the shop charge you?
