Cool story, bro. And congrats. I knew how the story would work out from the thread title, but really I'm not in the least bit surprised how it worked out (so fast and all).

That's said lightly no doubt, but honestly I can look back to the 90s when I had a young family and was laid off 4 times in 5 years but was never out of work for more than 3 weeks at a time. It occurred to me that really, someone *was* watching out for me because the connections I made that resulted in jobs seemed way too fortunate to be random chance.
