I used to work for a company that manufactured high-throughput screening assays and processing equipment for blood banks. On a per-test basis, like anything bought in bulk, our equipment was way cheaper than a single result in office test.
Ah! I wasn't sure which was the cheap way. Heck, what do I care, I'm getting paid well.
