IIRC, from circulating tubeset tables I've read through the years, the weight of the SV980 tubset is comaprable to what the Reynold 753 weighs in at. but maybe the special heat treatment of the 753 makes it stiffer. SV980 also features a rifled head or steerer tube (can't remember exactly which one.)
So you can maybe consider the SV980 as falling in between Reynolds 531 and 753.
