No slight to his choices, which I agree are fantastic.

Apologies for remoteness of my routes.

My favorites are a toss-up between:

-Kancamagus Highway, Rt. 112, between Lincoln and Conway, NH.
This is a very mountainous road and has one of the larger vertical rises on in the east. The West approach has a number of switchbacks also, which is why I recommend first-timers ride this one eastbound. A challenge.

-Errol, NH, to Rangeley, ME on Rt. 16, and also in Maine:

I must give all of these a shot... Guess now might be the best time...

Tvphobic,... so you recommend going from Lincoln and eastbound on kancamagus... Is there an elevation profile???.. Seems to be 35 miles and with climbs, I am afraid it might be too arduous to go the entire way...
