It's a PX-10LE. I bought it new with my employee discount when I was working as a bicycle mechanic. I did that until I finished college and found a job that paid a living wage. We had a can of Sturmey-Archer oil in the shop. We would drip some on a rag and wipe bare metal parts down to help prevent corrosion. That's the way I still do it, but I use 3 in 1 oil.

At least you're putting something on there. I use grease on the bikes that come in largely because it's probably going to be a long while befroe they get messed with and the grease will tend to stay in place longer. For those of us who actually do routine maintenance of a more than cursory nature Oil works fine. Have you tried Phil's Tenacious Oil? That stuff is great.
