Funny thing, riding it solved the brake issues! The pads sat unused for several months, and I guess they had skinned over or something. Once I braked hard a few more times, they started stopping very well.,,,,BD

Yeah that threadless adaptor is hideous. My only stem that fit was twisted, so on it went.
