BICYCLIST INJURED BY RED CROP TOP

Or so almost read the report on my near miss this morning. I was coming off a bridge this morning and picking up speed downhill (approx. 22 mph) when I started to observe the ... er ... running style of a young woman in a red crop top. While I was otherwise occupied another jogger crossed the trail in front of me. I saw her in time and a quick wavering swerve spared us both from a painful accident. It was a lot closer than I wanted to be and at that speed you really feel the swerving wavering of the bike.

Lesson 1 -- at better than 20 mph keep your eyes on the road; lesson 2 -- crop tops can be evil; lesson 3 -- the very environmental factors that can make a MUP appealing can also be a hazard for lecherous old men who aren't paying enough attention.

So keep your eyes on the road and remember crop tops are not your friends!!
