Don't do this for your first bike, while it is fun to build it yourself, unless you actually know what you want in a bike, you are going to get it wrong. The only way to really know is to spend a lot of time riding bikes that aren't what you like.
I guess it comes down to Kili TT, upgrades, THEN new bike you built from the ground up
