I think it was a slow day and the word got out about the
cool techno bike sting, which always piques some interest.
A lot of the cars here are solo units, so in an event there
are always multiple responses, simply to provide personnel.
They finally busted the guy using the bike as a getaway
vehicle for a home buglary, so it was not a complete waste.
Just in case you are curious, it has not affected the bicycle
theft rate here in any discernible way.
If anything, thefts
are up this year.
