Well, the dude I heard talking about it on the radio made it sound much more grueling than that. He was a member of the EFI group, (an acronym he could not expand on the radio) and to hear him tell it, several sections were a near death experience.
The way he described the road surfaces he rode on much of the way, I was thinking a Surly Pugsly would be the only suitable ride.
