Ohhh, the bay? You're brave. Cold AND choppy!

For me I think it was a combination. The problem for me is that I'm still a good swimmer, even when I'm out of shape. I can hop in and hold my own in a master's workout even if I've only been swimming once a week. So I get a false sense of where I am. Honestly, I'm in OKAY shape, but could/should be in better shape. I think I didn't feel good on the swim because a) yes, it was choppy, but b) I'm also not in fabulous shape. Hats off to you for braving SF and good luck. Tell us how it goes.
