Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

WD-40 is very useful for bike maintenance as a cleaner (basically it's an aerosol form of kerosene) and water displacer. Where it has no place is as a durable lubricant as it's not adequate for that use.
