Since the numbers you ran would run me into the ground I almost don't want to ask, but

"That comes out to 3.1% of your energy spent accelerating a 20 lb bike instead of a 14 lb bike." just to come out of corners seems like a huge difference. I (again, a non-racer) wouldn't want to start a race with a 3% handicap so the question: when you have used the heavier bike, do you do this accelerating with the pack or do you use a different tactic? Such as hitting the corner faster or hanging back?
