A couple of months ago was at LBS and mentioned my need for a set of period correct looking tires for a mid-eighties vintage road bike... Turned out he had a stash of new-in-the-box Turbo/Ss. I bought all the 700c he had (5) and insisted on paying a few bucks more per tire than his give-away price. Mounted one set that day, and probably have 500 miles on them so far. Zero issues. Maybe being stored in the box buried under other stuff has helped some to preserve these?
