I bought a gary fisher at a yard sale for 50 bucks. It had a hybrid type stem on it, so I figured MTB wheels and tires. Nope. I had no other spares, so I went to this "Bike shop" in town that is just piles of beat bikes and used parts. I left it with him, he found a wheelset that worked, paid him 75 dollars and a case of busch light, and promply sold it for 200. Not a great return, but the alternative was hang onto it for the next 20 years.
