Hi Lenton, good to see you are back in action building up great bikes again.
These should be fine with your Ultegra set-up. I'm using one pair on an 8-speed Deore rig and another pair on my tandem with a VX-GT rear and 7 speed HG (where a botched change could result in both us novice tandem riders falling off - we're still not very co-ordinated but getting there!). Perfect on both! Really good down-tube shifters, might even be as good as the more elegant Simplex retro friction on my Holdsworth although maybe not quite as smooth in operation the Suntours are very positive in action.
