LONG TERM RIDE REPORT!
After two years since the build, I can say that my Motobecane Le Champ Team Ti has been a blast to ride till this very day. After 4,000 miles on it, my Moto Ti has not exploded, eroded, or bent itself out of shape in any way. It rides as supple as it did on day one and for the price I have paid ... not too bad in my book!
I did make some notable upgrades since. I moved over the DA 7900 cranks and brakes over to my 2008 Orbea Orca for a Di2 upgrade. I then moved over my Super Record 11 group from my Orbea to the Moto Ti along with the Reynolds Assaults. My Moto Ti have received numerous compliments with every upgrade ... especially with the latest build.
Here are the current specs:
- 2010 Le Champ Team Ti 51cm frame (54cm TT effective)
- Campagnolo Super Record 11 Gruppo (full 8 piece group)
- 2009 Reynolds Assault Carbon Clinchers
- Easton EC90 SLX Carbon Fork
- Vittoria Rubino Pro (waiting for my Conti 4000S)
- E3 Curve 42cm Carbon Road Bars
- Ritchey 4-Axis 100mm Stem
- Forte Precision Carbon Seatpost
- Fizik Aliante Ti Saddle
- Moro D' Elite Water Cages
- Look Keo Carbon pedals
- Topeak MicroRocket Carbon pump
Here is the updated pic of my latest build:
And for the final weight with cages and pedals:
The weight went up by .10 lbs, but I am suspecting the Reynolds Assaults has got a lot to do with it.
VERDICT: The bike is still holding up. I still can't believe the price I originally paid for a Ti Road Bike with full DA 7900 group and Ksyrium Elites. I know the only thing that is left of my latest build is the frame, but that is what matters, right? To me the bike looks BEAUTIFUL and rides like a dream! Thumbs way up!
