That's not what rebadging is. Rebadging is literally replacing one name with another, or replacing the outer shell with another, and the vehicles are essentially the same under the skin. I once owned a '91 Lexus 250, the first year they started the Lexus line of cars. That car was literally a (semi-) luxury Toyota Camry with an "L" on it, a pimped Camry so to speak.
But in the following years up through the present, Toyota and Lexus' make totally different cars. Just because there's considerable overlap in features and styles and looks doesn't make them the same car. And just because Toyota is the parent company of Lexus and Honda is the parent company of Acura does not mean the Luxury vehicles are rebadged. If that were the case
you'd hear a firestorm of protest from indignant, snooty Lexus and Acura owners.
They like PCAD are too self absorbed, and delusional to believe it. As I showed months ago in their home country of Japan the luxury vehicles sold here, have badges of the parent company, and until recent years Acura and Lexus vehicles didn't even exist.
