In the auto world and in amateur garages all across the land these things are done
routinely.
Just because there's some overlap in parts doesn't mean it's rebadged. Now if the overlap in parts approached the 50% mark then I'd start wondering about rebadging. But who really knows that other than the OEM engineers and auto parts experts.
If you pop the plastic cover off of the engine on any Acura you will discover a Honda engine. The engine in the mdx is the same engine in the ridgeline and the pilot. Saturn also bought some of those engines for the early v6 vues. That's totally different than what Honda and Toyota do rebaging vehicles in certain markets?
