I may have lost some speed this afternoon because of the headwinds, but I was still faster than what I used to get without the shell, and that would be on a good day with tailwinds.
I know what you mean, the speed boost is addictive. And on the other side of the coin, with the velo I don't really care what the weather does as long as it isn't too icy to ride.
