I recently picked up a Serfas True 250 headlight at Amazon for $74.92 shipped. The light is well designed for commuting use, as it has a good balance of beam and spread for street and MUP usage. I usually run mine on one of the medium light settings. My LBS sells the 250 for $110, and I almost picked one up from there, but the $40 price difference (after tax at the LBS) was hard to ignore.

I came to this light from using a couple of Cateye AA powered lights on my bar. There truly is no comparison between the pair of Cateye lights and the Serfas light. If anyone out there is looking for a reasonably priced powerful commuter light, the $75 True 250 is worth consideration.
