I live only a couple of miles from Coyote Hills, I ride out there several times a week.

Like you said, there are many birds out there -- ducks, geese, herons, egrets. I've even seen an eagle from time to time. There have been lots of pelicans hanging out in the marshes right now, a beautiful sight.

A pheasant supervised my tire change a few days ago. He wasn't very helpful.

I haven't seen the flamingo (I call him Seymour) in several months; maybe he's retired to Boca.

(I'm not kidding about the flamingo - I first saw him in late 2006. The general consensus is he may have escaped from a private collection or perhaps Great America. )
