Was running late today so I drove (free campus parking on fridays makes this a terrible temptation). But there had been a spell of freezing rain earlier in the morning, so I think I averaged about 10 mph all the way to campus; it took me as long as it takes to bike, anyway, so the joke was on me.

Tomorrow they're calling for 50-70 mph southeast winds with 80 mph gusts, which is pretty much a direct headwind coming home. Were it the other way around, I'd be tempted to struggle to work just to ride that crazy tailwind home; as it is I see another car commute ahead of me.
