If you check the Mavics at http://weightweenies.starbike.com/li...ype=roadwheels you will see this might not be the first time they made a 'mistake' approaching 100gm. For my purpose (which is my wife's bike) and the price ($135) I don't care. But I know people buy Aksiums and Ksyrium Elites thinking for a few bucks they can drop weight by replacing their OEM shimano wheels and I'm just not sure that's always true.
