Ha, no that was after changing. My wife had the tent, clothes, gear, kids, and food in the car (with a bike rack). They were waiting there with 4 or 5 other families for me to show.

I did ride across Ireland a few times with tent, bag, food, stove on a POS gaspipe 10 speed bought at a flea market in Belfast. Hadn't ridden much in years, and had just given up smoking. In cotton shorts and a T shirt. I got my hardy lad points there in 1998.
