Technical Question Victory Bottom Bracket

I have a Campy Victory bottom bracket (mid to late 80's I guess) which I inspected this morning and the spindle length measures about 108 to 109 mm. I looked at the old listing where I bought it and the listing indicated the spindle length was 110. I want to use this with a double crankset. Can this be done or is this spindle length strictly for a triple? Did Victory even have a triple crank option? I know there was a Victory "LX" series long cage rear and front derailleur, but I don't think I've ever seen a Victory triple crank. The catalog does state that the LX (long cage) rear derailleur can be used with triple cranks, but it does not indicate that Victory had a triple crank. The late 80's Campy catalogs don't have as much technical parts data as the 90's catalogs and I couldn't find anything stating the spindle sizes.
