I wish that Michael Chabon was more prolific. His stuff is great, but I have read it all.
My wife is telling me to read Proust, but I don't read French. Perhaps there are translations that do justice.
I had to read Heart of Darkness my senior year of hs and didn't enjoy it much at all. For some reason i picked it up and started reading it again for kicks and giggles in college, and really enjoyed it. Not sure why i enjoyed it so much more the second time around, maybe i just got bogged down by all the detail the first go round?
